Is facebook killing your mojo?
Last week I was working on a big project and I was struggling to get any flow in my thoughts. Because I couldn’t get any flow I would flick over to my email or facebook and do a quick 2 minute check before flicking back to my work. Which was followed by more blocks and little work being achieved.
It wasn’t until I was without the internet for 4 hours when I actually got some work done and moved beyond my blocks to produce the work I needed.
I wonder ‘is facebook killing your mojo?’. Are you distracting yourself with trivial acts (this could be facebook or a multitude of things around the office or home) which are taking you away from the work which would lead to your success?
We all have the same number of hours in a day yet the results we achieve are so very different. Where some are succeeding others are achieving mediocre results. It’s time to get control and prioritise. If you haven’t seen it, this is a link to our last time management blog – the $26,000 idea – focused on getting those priorities straight so you can start living your dream and spending more time doing what you really want to be doing.
I would love to hear from you. What are your distraction tools you revert too?
